Let's Overthink Advertising

On Friday, February 7th, Matt Bull, founder of Kickstand Agency, waxed overly-philosophical about advertising and there was nothing we can do about it.

Matt is an Emmy-winning writer and creative director who was once called “an advertising folk hero” by a (presumably) drunk Adweek writer. He has developed national brand campaigns for major advertisers like Gamestop, metroPCS, The Home Depot, and Summer’s Eve, and has helped launch and grow a successful pharmaceutical brand from scratch. In the non-profit sector, Matt has worked extensively on African water and sanitation campaigns, as well as environmental, medical and mental health initiatives. Matt also recently went viral for a not-as-mean-as-it-sounds prank he pulled on his 13-year old daughter, and is considering changing his social media handles to “Mario Kart Dad” as a result.
